Between Hemlock Lake and Canadice Lake is the Hemlock-Canadice State Forest where you can find miles of marked hiking trails and lake views. There are also designated snowmobile trails for use after big game hunting season ends, when there is sufficient snowfall cover. Winter hiking does offer new challenges though, so if you are a beginner, be sure to take time to ensure you have the right gear, a good plan and an experienced buddy or two along.
The area surrounding both Hemlock and Canadice lakes is virtually undeveloped and forever wild so no need to drive to the Adirondacks for winter fun....and we have SO much more to do here in the Finger Lakes at the end of day 😉
